Polybutylene Repipes
Swapping out failing poly-B lines with PEX-A. We manifold the system for better pressure balance and easier future shutoffs.
From the older neighborhoods near Colfax to the newer builds in Southlands — we know Aurora's plumbing inside and out.
Aurora's housing stock spans five decades, and every era brought its own plumbing problems. The 1970s tracts near Original Aurora used polybutylene supply lines that are now failing at the fittings. The 1990s developments in Saddle Rock went heavy on builder-grade fixtures that don't hold up past 15 years.
We service all of it. Our technicians carry parts for the common repairs — ball valves, PRVs, cartridge replacements — so most single-fixture jobs get done same-day without a second trip.
What We Do
Swapping out failing poly-B lines with PEX-A. We manifold the system for better pressure balance and easier future shutoffs.
Aurora's municipal pressure can spike above 80 PSI in some zones. We install and calibrate PRVs to protect your fixtures and water heater.
Right-sized for Aurora's incoming water temp and your peak demand. We handle the gas line upsizing and venting modifications.
Removing seized units and installing new InSinkErator or Moen disposals with proper dishwasher air-gap connections.
Parts of Aurora run higher municipal water pressure than neighboring cities — we've measured 90+ PSI in some Tollgate Crossing homes. That excess pressure stresses water heater tanks, supply line fittings, and toilet fill valves. A properly set PRV at your meter is the cheapest insurance against a flooded basement.
If you're in one of Aurora's 1970s or early 1980s neighborhoods, check your crawlspace for gray polybutylene pipes. These were mass-installed before the class action settlement and they fail without warning. We've replaced hundreds of poly-B systems across Aurora and can usually complete a two-bath repipe in a day and a half.
Some Aurora water zones deliver pressure above 80 PSI. We install pressure reducing valves at the meter to bring it to a safe 50-60 PSI range, preventing fixture damage and water heater stress.
If you have poly-B (gray flexible pipes), we strongly recommend replacement. These pipes fail at connections and can flood a home without warning. PEX-A is the modern replacement and costs less than dealing with water damage.
We typically reach Aurora locations within 60-90 minutes during business hours. We serve all Aurora neighborhoods from Original Aurora to Southlands.
We show up on time, give you straight answers, and fix it right the first time. No surprises.
